在之前創作歌曲的過程中，阿黛爾·阿德金斯都喜歡在家裡寫歌。然而阿黛爾·阿德金斯在這一次寫歌的時候，卻更換了創作地點，並將工作放在倫敦奇斯威克進行，《Hello》的創作工作歷時六個月完成。
